Storm Desmond has passed but not without leaving much devastation in its wake. Not least, the innumerable Teresa Mannion copy-cats, warning of the ravages of the storm, beseeching us not to go outside!
Inspired by this, I decided to go out for a run yesterday as the tail-end of Desmond was passing. Myself and some family members had signed up for the Clonakilty Waterfront half marathon due to take place on Saturday, Dec 5th – which was unfortunately cancelled. I didn’t want the training to go to waste, so I headed out myself to see how I would get on.
Along the way, I took a few moment’s breather and did a mini forecast a la Teresa. Any excuse for a break 🙂
So here’s me, in my fabulous pink Unislim top. I believe in blantant self-promotion in real life, as well as on the social media arena. I also put together a Clon-inspired race day menu – everything tastes better with a bit of black pudding on it…
If those wrinkles and the exhausted, sweaty head don’t kick you into action to get out and active, I don’t know what will 😉
